The story

The story behind the work.

John's project, Sanctuary of Bricks, is an innovative eco-brick production factory that redefines traditional manufacturing. Combining industrial and mixed-use spaces, the design not only supports a low-carbon brick-making process but also invites people to observe the production without disrupting operations. Visitors can even participate in DIY workshops to craft their own bricks. Drawing inspiration from Stoke potteries and the Tate Modern, the project blends heritage and modernity. Each kiln produces distinct brick patterns, celebrating creativity and sustainability in equal measure.
