The story
The story behind the work.
Situated at a prominent gateway between Queen Square and the Floating Harbour, the Sports and Rehabilitation Complex occupies a highly visible site on the edge of Bristol’s historic core. The project aims to foster physical health, mental well-being, and social engagement through a carefully integrated mix of public and therapeutic facilities.
The building includes a swimming pool, gym, 100m running track, multi-purpose studios, indoor sports courts, and dedicated rehabilitation areas designed to support recovery from physical injury and mental strain. A public restaurant further activates the site, inviting wider community use and encouraging interaction beyond sport and recovery.
