The project

Copenhagen’s once polluted canals have become a hub for urban life. Teahouse Ø is the first of a series of floating pavilions, later backed by the Danish Arts Foundation and the City of Copenhagen.

A translucent boundary of acrylic rods reflects the water on every side, so the space changes with light, weather and the movement of the surface.

Light through the acrylic rods.
The rods before a brick building.
