The story
The story behind the work.
The Hive is a 2,694 sq m shared hub designed and delivered by Stephen George + Partners for DP World in partnership with Thames Freeport. Its workplace, training, food, fitness and social spaces are organised around a generous central atrium that brings daylight and visual connection through the building.
The practice also delivered the interiors and CGI, allowing the architecture and internal experience to follow one design approach. The current official record states a 2026 completion and identifies GOLDBECK Construction as contractor.
