The story
The story behind the work.
The Spark brings teaching, learning, events and student life together around a full-height atrium. Lecture spaces sit below the main entrance level, while bridges, galleries and agile settings connect the new hub with the existing university campus.
Scott Brownrigg records architecture, interior design, masterplanning and safety-design services. The £33 million, 10,000 sq m building completed in 2016 and uses a prefabricated construction strategy alongside accessible, flexible learning space.
