The project
Rather than demolish and rebuild, the team reworked the existing structure into a contemporary workplace. Organic forms, natural materials and planting replace the hard edges usually found in financial offices, and daylight is used throughout as part of a wellbeing strategy.
A restored central courtyard has become a garden for staff and visitors. On the ground floor, an open café-style lounge replaces a guarded reception desk, welcoming visitors straight in from the street.
