The brief
A talented and collaborative Senior Architect is sought to take on a project leadership role within a specialist housing team. Working on large scale, mixed tenure residential developments across London and the UK, the role focuses on the design and delivery of high-quality housing at scale, with an emphasis on design excellence, sustainability, and social value.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering complex housing-led projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, clients, contractors, and local authorities to create well-designed, commercially viable residential communities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of mixed-tenure residential schemes across a variety of scales
- Produce coordinated architectural information and technical documentation in Revit to a high standard.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external consultants to develop integrated design solutions
- Contribute to planning submissions, design reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement materials
- Ensure project proposals respond accurately to housing policy, planning guidance, building regulations, and residential design standards
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout all project stages
Requirements:
- 6-8 years post Part III experience in UK residential architecture, with a focus on mixed-tenure housing
- Proven track record delivering large-scale residential projects of 100+ homes
- Strong design capability with a thorough understanding of housing typologies, placemaking, and residential-led masterplanning
- Revit proficient
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK building regulations, planning requirements, and residential design standards
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex technical information
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills
