In their words
2001 TBSI is an architecture practice based in Esch-Alzette, Luxembourg. Its work moves between the scale of a territory, the structure of a building and the detail of an interior.
The practice organises its work around four fields: territories, buildings, spaces and ideas. Alongside built projects, it develops research, exhibitions and proposals that examine how architecture can respond to changing social and spatial conditions.
Tower Tower brings that approach into an existing monument. Working with Elementar, the practice concentrated a tourist lodge’s circulation and services within a new steel structure, allowing the historic tower to remain legible.
