Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) is an Employee-Owned architecture practice founded in 1989, with studios in London, Bristol, Madrid, Oklahoma City and Sydney. Around 400 people work across the five offices.
AHMM became an Employee-Owned Trust in September 2017. Teams are director-led and work across multiple sectors rather than specialising, so architects gain breadth across commercial, residential, education, healthcare, life sciences, civic and cultural projects within a single career.
The practice supports Part III, runs Level 6 and Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeships annually as a RIBA Trailblazers participant since 2016, and has been an accredited Living Wage Employer since 2015.

Culture
AHMM describes its team structure as 'a collection of like-minded smaller studios within shared spaces' — director-led teams that share knowledge across the practice rather than splitting into sector silos. Studio life across the five offices includes weekly presentations, monthly project updates, an annual spring conference and summer city research trips. Sketch club, crafting, photography and cookery classes run alongside building visits, talks and gallery tours. The London HQ is at Morelands, 5-23 Old Street EC1V 9HL. Bristol, Madrid, Oklahoma City and Sydney studios are designed for collaboration, with shared meals and informal communal spaces.

AHMM's design philosophy is built on three principles: economy, elegance and delight. The practice describes itself as believing in the ability of outstanding architecture to last through time, and designs buildings that can adapt to changing techniques, contexts and human needs. Its process is collaborative and transparent: director-led teams that work across all sectors and stages, sharing knowledge across a collection of like-minded studios. As an Employee-Owned Trust since September 2017, AHMM frames its values as lived practice rather than abstract ideals — every member of staff has a stake in the business. AHMM is a founder signatory of Architects Declare, a co-author of the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge, and a signatory to the Science Based Targets initiative Business Ambition for 1.5C.
