The project
The site in Janarde is rough and remote, so building with a traditional construction yard would have been difficult and very expensive. Prefabrication was the most efficient way to simplify construction.
The brief asked for tourist rooms spread across the land. SUMMARY proposed small houses instead, so that some could be lived in all year round and the complex would not stand empty out of season.
The eleven cabins, in four types from 28 m² to 58 m², use the studio's Gomos system, with all services gathered into one module in each house. They sit around the existing stone walls and trees, turned in different directions so they do not block one another's views of the forest and river.
