The story
The story behind the work.
dMFK moved into the former Channel 4 ground-floor office at 76 Charlotte Street in 2022. Designed with Sher + White, the 4,500 sq ft studio became a testing ground for ideas developed through the practice's workplace work, with daylight, comfort and face-to-face collaboration shaping the plan.
The street-level workspace supports up to 45 people through family tables, focus booths and varied meeting settings. A former basement recording studio has become Downstairs at dMFK, a flexible material library, exhibition, workshop and event space that extends the studio's relationship with suppliers, clients and the wider industry.
