The story
The story behind the work.
WW+P led the refurbishment of the British Embassy beside the Elysée Palace, opening up office and meeting spaces, integrating the consular office and restoring previously hidden historic ceilings.
Two new staircases improve movement through the occupied building, while repairs to the south façade address water ingress and failing masonry. Bronze, steel, stone, marble and timber balance robust contemporary use with the proportions and fabric of the historic interiors.
