The story

The story behind the work.

WW+P's Paddington Elizabeth Line Station introduces a highly visible entrance plaza and clearer connections between the new underground platforms, the mainline station and surrounding streets.

A box-station structure creates a 90-metre clear opening and brings daylight and natural ventilation down to platform level. The robust engineering, bronze-clad columns and carefully integrated lighting form a contemporary counterpart to Brunel's Grade I listed station.
