The story

The story behind the work.

WW+P designed Woolwich as the Elizabeth line's only wholly new station, setting a single-storey entrance building and public realm within the historic Royal Arsenal masterplan.

Brick, steel, bronze and military-history details give the station a distinct local character. Below ground, calm passenger spaces support an accessible new transport connection at the heart of a wider programme including 3,750 homes and new cultural and leisure uses.
