The story
The story behind the work.
Rixon Architecture's refurbishment of Clunch House in Cambridge started with the walls. The existing cement render was removed, Multipor breathable insulation was applied and the house was finished in a lime render.
New double-glazed timber windows were installed, and the existing external plastic pipes were replaced with aluminium ones. Architecture Today featured the project in its Sustainable Heritage coverage of retrofit in existing and historic buildings.
