Mercan’s final-year project, Repairum, is a therapeutic community centre focused on circular design and adaptive reuse. Set on a disused urban site, the project transforms a car park into a healing green space with therapy rooms, workshops, a café, and a cat sanctuary.

Inspired by the philosophy of kintsugi, the design explores fragmentation and reconstruction through a disassemblable grid structure and reclaimed materials. The project draws from precedents such as Parc de la Villette and employs strategies like reclaimed material use, lightweight structural systems, and low-carbon detailing.
