The story
The story behind the work.
The project removes hazardous material, repairs original trusses, brickwork, windows and stairs, and reorganises the core so the historic rooms and new extension read as one sequence.
The glass rear addition brings light and new floor area while remaining visibly distinct from the conservation-area building. Solar panels and planted courtyards reduce impact and improve the setting.
