The Desert Oasis

Subramanian’s final master’s project, “The Desert Oasis”, a reinterpretation of Jean Nouvel’s Louvre Abu Dhabi. Inspired by the dome’s original concept to echo the silhouette of a palm tree this project seeks to restore its symbolic and cultural authenticity. Merging modernist and traditional Arabian elements, it explores how digital design can revive architectural meaning. Using parametric tools, Subramanian reimagines the dome as both a spatial and environmental structure. This project showcases his ability to blend storytelling, heritage, and advanced design, aligning with his goal of becoming a forward-thinking Architectural Assistant.
