The story

The story behind the work.

Cooee Architecture designed the Welaregang Farmhouse as a 129.5 square metre accessible home for farmers seeking a smaller, more manageable base for later life on a sloping Upper Murray site.

A deep western verandah and deciduous planting protect the principal view, while living spaces and the main bedroom retain northern solar access. The simple gabled form was rated at 7.5 Stars EER, but the project remained unbuilt when the clients chose an existing property during concept design.
