What is MicroStation?
MicroStation is Bentley Systems' CAD platform. It is less common in pure architecture studios than AutoCAD or Revit, but it is a fixture in infrastructure, transport and large multidisciplinary engineering environments.
If you work on stations, highways, utilities or major infrastructure-adjacent projects, you are likely to meet MicroStation drawings, and many large organisations standardise on Bentley tools.
For your career, MicroStation is a specialist string to the bow: fewer roles ask for it, but those that do often struggle to find people who have it.
