What is Adobe Photoshop?
Adobe Photoshop is image editing software. In architecture it is the finishing layer: post-production on renders, photomontages for planning, site photography touch-ups and presentation imagery of every kind.
It sits at the end of the visualisation pipeline. A model or render comes out of Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max or a rendering engine, and Photoshop is where it gets atmosphere, context, entourage and polish.
For your portfolio, restrained Photoshop work is a skill in itself: practices can spot over-processed images quickly, and clean, believable imagery reads as judgement.
