Architect | Residential & Commercial
Competitive Salary + Hybrid Working, Bonus Scheme, Private Healthcare, Work Abroad Scheme and more
Recently qualified and wondering what your next step should look like? This is a chance to join one of the UK's most highly regarded practices, with residential and commercial projects that will broaden your experience and help you grow quickly. If you're available immediately or on a short notice period, now is a great time to apply, as the team is keen to move quickly.
The practice is strengthening its residential and commercial team. The work ranges from residential developments and mixed-use schemes to commercial and office-led projects, so you'll gain broad experience across different sectors, scales and stages. Every architect brings different strengths. Some come alive in the early stages, shaping concepts and driving a scheme forward. Others prefer the technical side: coordinating teams, resolving complex details and seeing a building through on site. This role has room for both, and the team will shape your exposure around your interests while keeping you involved across the whole project.
The Role
You'll work across residential and commercial projects, supporting teams through design development, technical delivery and coordination. As you grow in confidence, you'll take on more responsibility and ownership. You'll be part of a collaborative, well-established team where you can develop your skills and help deliver projects that make a real contribution to the built environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to residential and commercial projects across multiple RIBA stages.
- Develop design proposals, planning packages and technical information.
- Coordinate consultants, clients and the wider project team.
- Prepare planning, technical and construction documentation.
- Attend project meetings, design workshops and site visits.
- Support projects from concept through to completion.
- Maintain high standards of design quality and technical delivery.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive studio.
Requirements
- ARB-registered Architect with 1 to 4 years PQE.
- Experience working in a UK architectural practice.
- Experience on residential, commercial, mixed-use or office projects.
- Strengths in design, technical delivery or both.
- Good Revit skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience coordinating consultants and project information.
- A proactive, collaborative approach.
- Immediate availability or a short notice period is a real advantage.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary.
- Hybrid working, with three days in the studio and two from home.
- The chance to work abroad for up to three weeks a year.
- Discretionary performance bonus.
- Salary sacrifice pension scheme with employer contribution.
- Free access to pension advisers.
- Life assurance and income protection.
- 20 days annual leave, rising to 25, plus bank holidays and extra Christmas leave.
- Enhanced maternity, paternity and parental leave.
- Season ticket loan and Cycle to Work scheme.
- High-performance laptop and equipment.
- Monthly socials, plus summer and winter parties.
- A supportive and collaborative studio culture.
This role suits an architect who wants to keep developing at a practice that values both design quality and technical excellence. You'll get a strong mix of residential and commercial work, a supportive team and clear routes to progression. If you're available now, mention it when you apply. The practice wants to interview and move quickly, so you could be starting somewhere new within weeks rather than months.
