In their words
Studio Sutton is a design-led architecture and interiors studio that transforms commercial buildings into places where people choose to be. Founded by Alex Sutton in 2019, the London-based studio works with landlords, developers, operators and occupiers to reposition assets, unlock demand and future-proof buildings through the fusion of architecture, interiors and user experience.
The studio's belief is simple: buildings succeed when they are occupied, valued and used. From workspace and life sciences to education, hospitality-inspired environments and adaptive reuse, Studio Sutton helps clients turn underperforming or overlooked spaces into destinations that support leasing, tenant engagement and long-term asset value.
Its approach combines strategic vision, design leadership across architecture and interiors, commercial awareness grounded in programme, cost and delivery, and hands-on senior involvement from concept to completion. Studio Sutton operates as a focused, agile studio, staying close to its clients and maintaining continuity of design thinking throughout a project. The team has delivered work across the UK, Europe and the US.
Services include concept and vision, architecture and interiors across RIBA Stages 1–6, design monitoring, independent building reviews, furniture and FF&E specification, consultancy and strategy, and spatial feasibility. The studio’s experience spans workspace, science and innovation, education and hospitality, with projects across the UK, Europe and North America.
