The story

The story behind the work.

Copper Lane brings six households together around shared gardens, a laundry and workshop in Stoke Newington. The case study describes it as London's first cohousing project, using shared facilities to support everyday community without removing the privacy of each home.

Completed in 2014, the project was designed by Henley Halebrown. Community Led Housing London is credited only for its case-study and sector-support role, so the record does not transfer architectural authorship to the organisation or Levent Kerimol.
