The story

The story behind the work.

Hauxton Mill SciTech Park repurposes a 2.8-acre site beside the River Cam for life science, technology and social-enterprise organisations. The masterplan combines public riverside routes and a café with laboratories, shared workspace and a reused nineteenth-century water mill.

Fathom is masterplan architect. The first phase, a refurbished Old Mill House, is complete, while a new laboratory and the water-mill refurbishment remain in development. The official credits identify Fourth_space as refurbishment architect for Old Mill House, keeping that role separate.
