Le Lay Architects is focused on heritage and the benefit it brings to families, communities, and society. We safeguard that heritage by ensuring it is resilient, sustainable, and accessible – in essence – making heritage fit for the future. Heritage can be found at all scales – townscapes, country houses, churches, houses, and street monuments. It can also be built (tangible) or based on traditions (intangible). No matter the size or status we support those responsible for its stewardship. We work for people and organizations that see the value of heritage and want to invest to restore and adapt for greater benefit. Couples and families looking to move into a new home or wanting to refresh their current home. Heritage can sensitively adapt to change and should not be a barrier to families at key life changes. Creating a home can be a response to change and an opportunity to reflect the status and values of the owners. We are particularly able to support creative couples with busy professional and family lives. We take our enthusiasm for heritage and couple it with the professional services of a RIBA Chartered Practice and Conservation Accredited Architect. We remove the barriers homeowners can encounter to adapting or renewing their homes as well as reducing risks associated with an important investment. By providing a service from the first idea until they are comfortably settled in their renewed home, we provide a level of guardianship along the way focused on their needs. We assemble an expert team of designers, trades and contractors focusing on providing high standards of service and care. We actively research and train staff in technical and design developments so that we can provide the most up-to-date services and leading expert knowledge.
