For a strong interior designer with real food and beverage experience who wants to take ideas from concept to design development on international hospitality projects.
About the practice
The studio is the London interiors team of an international hospitality design practice, based in Central London. You will work with project and creative directors on specialist packages within large, complex projects, as well as on smaller projects in their own right.
The role
You will develop design concepts that work in practice as well as on the page, and present them to clients. You will report to a project or creative director, and there is scope to mentor less experienced designers.
What you will be working on
- Developing concepts, space planning, layouts and FF&E, with lighting and colour coordination
- Selecting and specifying materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and artwork
- 2D and 3D presentation drawings and renders, and presenting to clients
- Preparing and updating documents through schematic design and design development
- Working with other disciplines, suppliers and contractors, including bids for fabrication and installation
What you will bring
- Food and beverage design experience that goes beyond a simple café fit-out
- At least four years designing and delivering interior projects
- A degree in interior design, architecture or a related subject
- Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite skills, plus hand sketching and rendering
- Revit is a bonus, not a must
Why it is worth your time
This is a permanent role paying £38,000 to £45,000, working on hospitality projects at international scale with a team that values strong design. Some travel may be needed.
Interested? Apply with your CV and have a portfolio ready, as the studio will want to see your food and beverage work. You are welcome to speak with our team first.
Ready when you are.
