A highly regarded design-led architectural practice is looking to add a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to its team.

The studio is particularly interested in ambitious and confident designers who enjoy contributing ideas, taking ownership of elements of projects and playing an active role within a collaborative design environment. This role would suit someone with strong design abilities, planning experience and a passion for architecture. Candidates with BIM experience, particularly in Revit, 3D Vectorworks or 3D MicroStation, will be viewed favourably.

The Role

Working alongside experienced architects and project leaders, you'll contribute to projects from concept design through planning and project development. You'll be encouraged to take responsibility for key project elements, contribute to design discussions and develop the skills needed for qualification and future project leadership.

This is a role for someone who wants to be actively involved in projects rather than simply supporting from the sidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Support projects across a variety of RIBA stages, with a focus on concept design and planning.
• Develop design proposals, presentation material and planning submissions.
• Produce high-quality drawings, models and visual presentations.
• Contribute confidently during design reviews and project meetings.
• Work closely with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Assist with project coordination and technical development.
• Take ownership of project packages and design elements where appropriate.
• Support the successful progression of projects through planning and design development.

Requirements

• Part II qualified Architectural Assistant.
• Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity and design thinking.
• Planning experience preferred.
• BIM experience, ideally using Revit, 3D Vectorworks or 3D MicroStation.
• Excellent graphic presentation and communication skills.
• Confident contributing ideas and presenting work.
• Experience within a UK architectural practice.
• Proactive, organised and keen to take on responsibility.
• Working towards Part III qualification.
