Senior Architect | Commercial Office | Route to Associate | Central London
Up to £60,000 + Paid Professional Subscriptions, Enhanced Family Benefits, Clear Route to Associate and more
You've run projects, led teams and earned the trust of clients. So what's next? If you're a Senior Architect who feels ready for Associate but can't see a clear route to get there where you are, this role is built for you.
Our client is a highly respected, well-established architectural practice with a strong portfolio of commercial office work. Their projects range from workplace repositioning and refurbishments to large-scale new-build developments. New work keeps coming in, and they're looking for a Senior Architect who wants to step up. This isn't a role where promotion is a vague promise. The practice has a strong track record of promoting from within, and the path to Associate is a real part of the conversation from day one. You'll lead projects and also take on a bigger role in the success of the team. That means building client relationships, developing the people around you and helping shape how projects are won and delivered.
The Role
You'll lead commercial office projects from start to finish and be the main point of contact for clients, consultants and internal teams. Alongside delivery, you'll take on more responsibility for team leadership, mentoring and client relationships. These are the things that set an Associate apart, and you'll have the support to grow into them.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial office projects across multiple RIBA stages.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Manage consultant teams and coordinate project delivery.
- Oversee design development, technical packages and construction information.
- Manage programmes, resourcing and project planning.
- Lead client meetings, design reviews and site visits.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
- Contribute to client relationships, bids and new opportunities.
- Deliver projects to programme, budget and quality.
Requirements
- ARB-registered Architect at Senior Architect level.
- A strong track record of delivering commercial office projects in a UK practice.
- Experience leading projects and taking full ownership of delivery.
- Strong Revit skills.
- Excellent technical and construction knowledge.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Confident, client-facing communication skills.
- Experience mentoring or managing others.
- The ambition to step up to Associate.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £60,000.
- A clear route to Associate.
- Professional subscriptions paid, including ARB and RIBA.
- Extended Christmas shutdown on top of annual leave.
- Enhanced maternity and paternity package.
- Childcare contribution after parental leave.
- Company pension scheme.
- Season ticket loan.
- Cycle to Work scheme.
- Structured CPD programme and mentoring.
- Software training and ongoing professional development.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Discounted gym membership.
- Sports teams and regular social events.
- Employee referral bonus scheme.
- A modern studio with excellent views across London.
