Commercial Workplace Retrofit Projects

A London based architectural practice is seeking an Architect to join its collaborative and design led studio. This role would suit a qualified Architect with at least one year of post Part 3 experience, who has gained strong exposure to commercial workplace retrofit projects and is confident working across both design and delivery stages. The position offers the chance to be involved in high quality schemes that focus on the sensitive reuse and adaptation of existing buildings within an urban context.

The Role

The Architect will work as part of a close knit team on a range of commercial and mixed use workplace projects across London. These typically include refurbishment and retrofit led schemes, headquarters buildings and the reworking of existing assets. Projects run across all RIBA stages, providing meaningful involvement from concept through to delivery. The role offers a balance of design input and technical responsibility, with opportunities to contribute creatively while also being closely involved in detailing, coordination and delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

• The practice is looking for someone who can demonstrate:
• Proven experience working on commercial workplace projects, ideally with a strong emphasis on retrofit and refurbishment
• Experience delivering projects across all RIBA stages
• Strong design ability alongside an interest in technical and detailed design
• Confidence using Revit or Archicad
• Experience coordinating with consultants and working alongside contractors
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• A friendly, professional manner and strong communication skills

Working Arrangement

This is a full time position based in London, with office based working from Monday to Thursday and the flexibility to work from home on Fridays.

Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary is offered, along with 20 days annual leave, plus the period between Christmas and New Year included as part of the holiday allowance.
