Stephen is the Founder of the Architecture Social, a member of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architect’s) Future Architects and Education Development Groups, an ambassador for the Architect’s Benevolent Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
He is also a former elected Council Member of the RIBA, Visiting Critic and Teaching Assistant of Manchester School of Architecture, and professional mentor for Postgraduate Architecture students at the University of Westminster.
Previously he worked in the Architecture industry at EPR Architects for three years after completing a degree and diploma in Architecture at the University of Westminster and Manchester School of Architecture.
In 2014, Stephen left practising Architecture to pursue a career in recruitment where he worked alongside industry-leading Architecture Practices.
In 2021, Stephen joined Ackroyd Lowrie, an ambitious Architecture Practice as their Head of Talent. He was responsible for internal recruitment and retaining existing staff, alongside building up his own business known as the Architecture Social.
Phelipe is an interior designer who works part-time at the Architecture Social running our community platform as well as helping our social media campaigns as well as running his own interior design business.
Current based in London, prior to living in the big smoke he worked for several years in the creative sector of Curitiba, Brazil developing a passion for interior design and the creative arts.
Diane has had an illustrious career working with people as part of Swansea City Council over 24 years.
Diane’s experience is in developing, restructuring, and empowering teams for optimal performance, implementing new processes and systems to drive the strategic direction and crafting successful marketing plans enhancing business development.
Oliver is an architect and co-founder of Ackroyd Lowrie. Previous to this, he spent 10 years working at Architype where he was responsible for developing a modular, timber-framed construction system that was used by several London Boroughs to deliver new Primary Schools and Nurseries. Most recently Oliver has spent three years as Project Architect for the prestigious £24m New Junior School for Highgate School in North London.
Oliver passionately believes in working closely with clients, makers and builders to deliver projects in a collaborative manner. This approach, along with the revolution in 3D printing will change the building industry fundamentally, and Oliver is keen that Ackroyd Lowrie are at the forefront of this shift.
As the Architecture Social’s youngest recruit, Dexter is now head of the office’s wellbeing, as well as taking on a role in business development, as he has proven himself to be highly adept at chasing leads.
He also shows an admirable sense of diligence and professionalism when it comes to upholding office health and safety standards, ensuring that no crumbs are left on the floor for any longer than two seconds and that any objects not in their proper place are immediately confiscated and removed to his bed.
