Architect at Leading Design Studio in North London with Early Friday Finishes
Are you a skilled Architect with expertise in residential projects and a mastery of Vectorworks? Perhaps you're also adept at Sketchup 3D? If so, an amazing opportunity awaits you!
Imagine a role that not only offers an attractive salary of up to £48K but also provides intangible benefits that truly matter. You’ll contribute to genuinely exciting projects and work with a team that values work-life balance. Yes, they finish work every Friday at 2 pm, giving you more time to enjoy your weekends without work encroaching on your free time!
Envision yourself at the core of project design and technical development, making crucial day-to-day decisions and ensuring adherence to the highest design standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll lead projects, manage complex work packages, and lend your expertise across multiple projects, all from a conveniently located North London studio near a tube station.
Ideally, you have at least 5 years of experience post Part 3 training/registration or qualification. You have successfully managed and delivered projects across various stages, such as early design, detailed design, or construction, particularly in the realm of high-end residential or residential refurbishment projects. If you have led teams of different sizes and possess a solid technical understanding, including familiarity with UK building regulations, British Standards, and UK planning law, you could be the perfect fit!
However, this role is not solely focused on projects. You will also support the senior team in achieving strategic objectives, participate in design and technical peer reviews, and have the opportunity to mentor junior team members.
The company culture strikes a balance between relaxed and modern, providing a space where you can demonstrate positive leadership, foster idea development, and offer proactive support and mentorship. Effective communication with peers, clients, and collaborators is essential.
You will play an integral role in the entire design process, from concept to completion. You will plan project activities, explore research opportunities in relevant project areas, and oversee the delivery of design services. Building positive relationships with clients and the wider design team, monitoring project costs against the budget, and ensuring up-to-date project information are also part of your responsibilities.
But there’s more! You will represent the practice, uphold its ethos and values, mentor junior staff members, participate in the recruitment process, present project updates, and actively promote and enhance the practice’s profile.
If you’re a Vectorworks expert with residential experience, a team leader, a meticulous planner, and a positive influencer, this opportunity is calling your name. Why not get in touch? Let’s discuss how you can become the next architectural star in this exceptional team!
