A leading architectural practice is looking for an Architect to join its Digital Design Innovation team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of high‑quality architectural design. Working across sectors and studios, this position sits at the intersection of architecture, digital thinking and system logic, helping to rethink how buildings are designed and delivered.

The role

This role sits within a specialist Digital Design Innovation team made up of architects, technologists, Revit specialists and IT professionals working collaboratively across the practice. The successful candidate will balance research and development activity with hands‑on involvement in live projects, helping to develop and implement digital tools, workflows and DfMA approaches that improve design quality, coordination and project efficiency. Working closely with project teams across multiple studios, the role involves supporting designers, solving technical and digital challenges, and translating complex ideas into clear, practical solutions that can be easily adopted across projects.

Experience and skills

• Qualified Architect with strong architectural and technical building experience
• Solid understanding of the design and building delivery process across multiple project types and work stages
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and supply chain
• High‑level competence producing technical drawings and specifications
• Advanced experience working within a BIM environment
• Strong Revit proficiency, including family creation, parameters, visibility controls and workflow development
• Experience using digital design tools such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo or similar
• Exposure to computational, parametric or data‑driven design processes
• Experience designing for offsite construction and DfMA
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a logical and inquisitive mindset
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas to non‑technical audiences
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams as well as independently
• Experience with scripting, performance analysis, dashboards, low‑code tools or Autodesk Construction Cloud would be advantageous, but not essential.
