A highly motivated and design‑focused Part II Architectural Assistant is sought to join a central London studio. The practice works across residential, heritage and mixed‑use projects at varying scales, with a strong emphasis on architecture as a craft. The ideal candidate will enjoy developing ideas through drawing, modelling and making, and will play an active role in the creative output of the studio.
The position involves supporting project teams across early‑stage design, feasibilities, pre‑applications and planning submissions, while also contributing to visualisation, model‑making and presentation work.
The role
- Supporting project teams across RIBA Stages 0–2, with opportunities for later‑stage exposure
- Producing high‑quality drawings, models and visuals for design development
- Assisting with feasibilities, pre‑applications and planning submissions
- Creating clear, compelling presentation material for clients and local authorities
- Contributing to visualisation work across the studio
- Working collaboratively while developing autonomy and confidence
- This role suits someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the design process and contributing across multiple projects.
About you
- Part II qualified
- Experience within a small or medium‑sized, design‑focused studio
- A strong, well‑curated portfolio demonstrating clarity, design thinking and craft
- Confident in architectural drawing, 3D modelling and physical model‑making
- Strong graphic sensibility with excellent attention to detail
- Organised, proactive and comfortable working across several projects at once
Software & BIM
- Revit experience is required
- Day‑to‑day work will initially be undertaken in MicroStation, with training and support provided
- Involvement in the studio’s planned transition to Revit in Q1/Q2 2026
- Proficiency in SketchUp, V‑Ray and Adobe Creative Suite is essential
