An award-winning architectural practice is seeking an experienced Architectural Assistant (Part 2/3) or Architectural Designer to join its London studio.
The practice is looking for a motivated individual with a strong background in high-quality residential design and a desire to take the next step toward project leadership. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative studio environment on major residential and regeneration projects across London and the UK.
The role
The successful candidate will work closely with Project Leads and report to an Associate or Director, contributing to the delivery of complex, design-led residential and mixed-use projects from RIBA Stage 3 onwards. This includes involvement in Gateway 2 submissions to the Building Safety Regulator.
As a key member of the architectural design team, the role involves close collaboration with designers, as well as coordination with clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring projects are fully compliant and meet the highest design and technical standards.
What the candidate will bring
The ideal candidate will have professional experience in residential design and delivery, with ambition to progress into project leadership. Experience across all RIBA stages on large-scale UK residential, mixed-use, or regeneration projects is essential.
Strong communication skills and confidence liaising directly with clients, consultants, and contractors are required. The candidate will thrive in a dynamic, open-plan studio environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central to the studio culture.
