A large architecture practice with offices globally is seeking a Qualified Accountant to lead its finance function during a period of international growth. This senior role reports to the COO and will play a key part in strengthening financial operations, improving systems, and supporting strategic decision making across the practice.

Please note this role is based in the office everyday.

The Role

• Lead a finance team of 3 people
• Oversee all core financial operations including billing, accounts payable and receivable, credit control, payroll coordination, general ledger management, and month end close
• Produce consolidated monthly management accounts, KPIs, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Manage cash flow, treasury activity, and foreign exchange exposure
• Oversee Work in Progress, revenue recognition, and project based financial reporting
• Provide clear financial insight and reporting to senior leadership
• Manage financial compliance and reporting across overseas subsidiaries
• Maintain banking relationships and negotiate facilities as required
• Act as the key contact for tax, audit, payroll, VAT, and external advisors
• Improve financial systems, strengthen controls, and streamline processes

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Minimum five years’ senior financial management experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Confident presenting financial information at senior and board level
• Treasury, cash flow, and foreign exchange experience
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems
• Hands on, proactive, process focused approach
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project and senior teams
• Experience in a creative or professional services environment is beneficial
