Role Overview: As a Senior Architect (Technical), you will play a key role in the successful delivery of complex commercial projects, with a focus on technical design and construction phases. You will manage external consultants, coordinate structural and MEP information, and lead the production of detailed, co-ordinated drawing packages. Your ability to generate innovative design ideas, combined with strong site experience and technical expertise, will be crucial in ensuring the success of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and delivery of commercial and office projects, focusing on RIBA Stages 3-6.
• Manage and coordinate design teams, including external consultants, ensuring seamless integration of structural and MEP information.
• Produce comprehensive technical drawings, schedules, and NBS specifications.
• Develop and present conceptual ideas to clients, using InDesign to create compelling presentations and documents.
• Oversee site activities, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with regulations.
• Research new materials and techniques, applying innovative detailing to enhance project outcomes.
• Conduct and manage project meetings, effectively communicating ideas to clients and stakeholders both verbally and graphically.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Extensive experience across all RIBA stages, with a strong focus on stages 3-6 in commercial and office projects.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
• Advanced proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit (2D and 3D), with a willingness to learn ArchiCAD if necessary (training provided).
• Experience in producing NBS specifications and detailed technical drawing packages.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to create and present InDesign documents to clients.
• A passion for architectural innovation, with a keen interest in researching new materials and construction techniques.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in managing meetings and engaging with stakeholders.
