About the Role
An exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Architect or Architectural Technologist to become a Project Lead, focusing primarily on a significant fire safety and recladding project for high-rise tower blocks in the London Borough of Brent. You will be part of a fast-paced, dynamic design team handling multiple projects ranging from large-scale new build residential developments to complex recladding schemes and fire safety works under the new Building Safety Act. Operational and administrative support will be provided from the Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Home and site-based working
- Producing technical design drawings for RIBA Work Stages 2 to 6 for both new build and refurbishment residential schemes
- Creating 3D Revit models for use from concept design to construction issue information
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, producing working drawings/specifications and overseeing similar work by others
- Preparing planning, building control, and construction issue drawings
- Attending client meetings and providing technical advice on-site and to contractors
Ideal Candidate
- Extensive residential/housing experience
- Proficiency in both traditionally designed and design & build contracts
- RIBA / MCIAT qualification
- Strong technical skills in all forms of construction
- Experience with AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is desirable but not essential
- Proven track record in a design office environment
- In-depth knowledge of building and planning regulations/procedures
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills
- Team player with leadership skills to mentor junior team members
