A boutique architecture practice is seeking a Senior Associate to join their small, friendly team based near London Bridge. This role will suit someone with extensive business development and work winning experience within the UK high end residential sector. This role has come about as two Directors are retiring in the coming months, so there will be a clear pathway to Directorship once you've settled into the role and passed probation.
As the future leader for this design led practice, you will take on a role that wears many hats across the business, but demonstrable work winning experience focused on high end residential and private homes is essential and candidates without this will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design direction on high end residential projects across the UK and London
- Oversee projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring quality and deadlines are met
- Present confidently to clients, consultants, and planning authorities
- Drive new business efforts, contributing to bids, pitches, and relationship building
- Manage a project team, including resourcing, mentoring, and performance
- Oversee fee proposals, budgets, and commercial negotiations
- Represent the studio at industry events, meetings, and design reviews
- Lead coordination with consultants, contractors, and interior specialists
- Uphold the studio’s design standards, culture, and values
Skills and Experience
- ARB registered Architect
- 10+ years leading high end residential projects from concept to completion
- Proven work winning experience with excellent client facing skills
- Confident leading teams, managing resources, and setting workflows
- Strong business development experience within the UK market
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strong technical knowledge with an eye for detail and craft
- Familiarity with London planning processes
- Proficient AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite; Revit a bonus but not essential
- The right to live and work in the UK
