Are you a seasoned architect with a passion for technical excellence and project delivery? An award-winning design-led practice in London is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join their expanding team.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional detailing and delivery skills, staying informed of industry changes while maintaining a passion for designing and delivering high-quality and well-resolved projects. With extensive experience across all architectural design and construction stages, you will be a key reference for technical and detailing queries within the office, attend site visits, and engage directly with contractors.
This role demands experience with multi-home and private residential projects, both new builds and renovations. You must be adept at working independently and within a team, confidently managing on-site contractors, handling queries, and delivering high-risk buildings. The position will focus primarily on RIBA Stages 4 to 6, covering design coordination, technical and detailed drawings, on-site delivery, snagging, and handover. You should be capable of turning around complex packages single-handedly and mentoring younger staff on intricate detailing.
Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of post-Part 3 experience. Requirements include ARB registration, a minimum of six years running projects in the UK, experience with listed buildings (ideally Grade I), outstanding technical knowledge, and detailed drawing ability. Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills are essential, along with strong presentation skills, structured working methods, and analytical thinking.
Proficiency in Microstation is strongly preferred, and fluency in English is a must. Additionally, you must have the right to live and work in the UK.
This multi-disciplinary practice, with offices in London and Rotterdam, is dedicated to delivering striking and sustainable design quality. They emphasize the full scope of development, including planning, contracting, and program management, working on projects ranging from bespoke furniture pieces to multi-home high-end residential developments.
