What our clients typically ask for
1–3 years’ purchase- and sales-ledger experience in architecture, construction or another project-based professional-services environment

Confidence posting supplier invoices, employee expenses and credit-card receipts with accurate cost-centre coding

Sound understanding of bank reconciliations, aged-creditor / debtor reporting and chasing overdue payments with tact

Fluency in cloud accounting or practice-management platforms—Xero, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Deltek Ajera, Rapport3—plus solid Excel skills (lookups, pivots)

Basic knowledge of VAT rules (and CIS if projects involve subcontractors) and the curiosity to learn more

An organised, detail-driven mindset that meets deadlines and supports the Finance Manager during month- and year-end tasks
