A London-based social housing developer is seeking a Technical Lead to join its newly established in-house design team. This is a unique opportunity to take a senior, hands-on role in the delivery of high-rise social housing projects, contributing directly to the creation of high-quality, sustainable homes.

You must be an ARB registered Architect to be considered for this opportunity.

The ideal candidate will also have extensive Revit expertise, in-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations and fire safety for buildings over 18m, and proven experience leading technical teams through detailed design and construction stages. Experience working on site is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Lead the technical design and delivery of complex high-rise residential projects
• Oversee the production and coordination of comprehensive Revit-based technical drawing packages
• Ensure full compliance with UK Building Regulations and fire safety requirements (particularly for buildings over 18m)
• Guide the team through RIBA Stages 2–5, maintaining project timelines and technical excellence
• Mentor and manage junior architects and technologists, promoting best practices and quality control
• Collaborate with internal planning teams and external consultants to resolve design, technical, and regulatory challenges
• Contribute to early-stage planning input including massing studies and feasibility assessments

About You

• ARB-registered architect with significant UK-based experience
• Track record of delivering high-rise (18m+) residential or social housing projects
• Expert in Revit with strong BIM coordination skills
• Deep understanding of fire safety and current regulatory frameworks
• Confident team leader with excellent communication, coordination, and technical review skills
• Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage complexity and technical risk effectively
