Architectural Assistant (Part II) Opportunity in Progressive Design Studio
A forward-thinking design studio is actively seeking an Architectural Assistant (Part II or equivalent) to bring their creativity, technical skills, and innovative thinking to our team. Role Details:
- Job Title: Architectural Assistant (Part II or Equivalent)
- Location: Position based in the studio, with reporting to the Project Leader on a day-to-day basis and ultimately to the Senior Partner.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating closely with project leaders or nominated architects to prepare, develop, and edit drawings, models, images, and other design documents.
- Assisting in client liaison alongside other professionals to determine building type, style, and landscaping requirements.
- Conducting site condition studies and participating in the analysis of site surveys to advise on development and construction details.
- Monitoring construction work to ensure compliance with specifications and actively participating in the design development process.
- Documenting professional experience in line with RIBA or equivalent requirements and adhering to procedural and standard compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrates capability to perform role responsibilities with legal eligibility to work in the specified location.
- Showcases a robust design understanding through a strong portfolio and proficient use of various media in design development.
- Exhibits excellent organizational skills, proficiency in Revit, and an ability to manage sensitive information.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to tasks, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to work well within a team.
- Flexible and open to new ways of working, with a commitment to independent, lifelong learning.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, and an understanding of Internet Explorer.
- Ability to understand design decisions taken by others and assist in managing junior assistant architects on the team.
