Our client is a distinguished design practice with a 50-year legacy in creating high-performance environments that meet stringent safety, security, and sustainability requirements. They are currently seeking an Architectural Director to lead their mission-critical projects, including data centers, telecommunication facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, and governmental and military facilities.
Your Role:
- Develop concept designs and master planning aligned with client briefs, showcasing unique solutions and original thinking.
- Manage project teams across various design projects from conceptual design to construction administration.
- Approve and oversee the production of mission-critical designs and interiors, ensuring compliance with industry codes and practices.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, customers, and contractors, driving new business opportunities.
- Manage sales and marketing efforts, achieving revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Architectural team, ensuring adherence to QA/QC processes.
- Lead project cost management within fee budgets and multiple project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program (or equivalent qualifications in a similar field).
- Minimum of 10 years of related Architectural design experience, with a focus on mission-critical projects.
- Expertise in Architectural design principles, standards, and codes.
- Experience in data center or telecommunication facility design and knowledge of critical facility Mechanical design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, and Microsoft Office software.
- Membership of relevant industry body, e.g., RIBA.
