Planning + Landscape Design Student Intern - Summer 2025

We are currently seeking a Planning + Landscape Design Student Intern to join our team for Summer 2025. As a Student Intern, you will be responsible for working with the project team to assist overall efforts of completing various project phases. You will work on a full range of assignments in supporting the delivery of all project phases and construction administration.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Gaining experience in comprehensive preparation of master plan reports, construction documentation, and the construction process.
• Displaying the ability to grasp design concepts and express them graphically.
• Building models for client/project team review.
• Compiling data and performing elementary design computations.
• Performing benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects, and images.
• Assuring HOK document standards are met and archiving documents appropriately.
• Actively promoting a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Fostering a commitment to external and internal client service.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, GIS, Ecotect, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
• Proficiency in BIM, Revit preferred.
• Proficiency in NewForma preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D Modeling software, such as Rhino, preferred.
• Proficiency in Enscape preferred.
• Basic knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a landscape architecture, architecture, or urban design program (Cannot be a Summer 2025 graduate).

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education, and location. The reasonably expected compensation for this position is $22.00/hour.
