The incoming Studio Lead will have the exciting task of building the London Office's Interior Design and Workplace team from scratch, integrating it with the existing architecture studios, and directly reporting the P+L to the managing director.
The firm's current UK team, a dedicated group of 20, focuses on Mixed-Use, Residential, and Infrastructural schemes. In contrast, their international offices have a strong foothold in Commercial Workplace and Interior Design. Your mission will be to bring this success to their London office, leveraging their legacy of work with top-tier corporate clients in finance, legal, and tech sectors.
As the Studio Lead, your tasks will extend beyond design into business development. This includes being proactive in generating new business opportunities while being supported by other sector directors and a head of communications. If you are close to project managers in London, or if you have prior experience in business development, you will be a preferred candidate.
However, even if business development is new to you, but you're confident in exploring this area, your profile will still be considered. The firm already boasts of great contacts, a strong network, and an existing portfolio of work in commercial workplaces.

The studio operates on a flat hierarchy and offers freedom in design, meaning there's no house style. You will have the chance to drive the look, feel, and creative ambition of the commercial offering, perfect for individuals with a strong sense of ownership and authorship.
Your role will also involve leadership and management. You will mentor, guide, and nurture a creative environment. The company values communicators who can critique designs and empower team members in a safe environment. You'll be expected to lead by example, establish best processes, and build and grow the team, while reporting to the managing director.
To seize this opportunity, you'll need at least 8-10 years of experience in commercial workplace projects, running projects across all stages, and having a clear understanding of deliverables and financial accountability.
