About the Designer
Jahnavi Jayashankar recently completed her Master of Architecture in Applied Design (MArchD) at Oxford Brookes University. Her final year project, *Hosted! The ReFrame Residency*, was developed within the Regenerative Design studio and explored the adaptive reuse of a neglected farm building in Scotland. The project reflects her strong interest in sustainable architecture, particularly in revitalizing existing structures through innovative and context-sensitive design strategies.
Jahnavi brings hands-on experience in retrofit and reuse projects, with a particular focus on integrating digital tools to enhance traditional craftsmanship and the use of natural materials. Her design approach combines modern technology with heritage techniques to create environmentally conscious architecture. She was honored with the MAKE Architects Prize for her work in 2024 and is currently seeking opportunities as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant.
