Hannah's final year project forms part of a wider green corridor initiative through Gainsborough Square in Lockleaze. Inspired by organic forms and biophilic design, the proposal integrates natural elements throughout its architecture.
A key feature is a triple-height internal courtyard that brings light, planting, and fresh air into the heart of the building, encouraging a stronger connection between people and nature.
The structure is a timber waffle shell with a mix of ETFE, photovoltaic, and timber panels—balancing sustainability with expressive form. The scheme supports ecological learning and community engagement within an urban context.
