Janani Sudhakar is an aspiring Urban Designer specialized in Landscape Urbanism. She has completed her master's from the prestigious Manchester School of Architecture with a merit. Her project ‘Symbiosis with Nature’ is an attempt to reimagine an abandoned urban greenspace in Manchester (Moston Brook), as part of rivers return initiative of Manchester City Council. The design values humans and other species as users of the greenspace and utilizing the benefits of therapeutic nature of landscapes. The revenue generated is further used to maintain degrading greenspaces in the neighbourhood. The design fosters positive interactions between community and natural ecosystems.
She has a background in architecture and an internship experience from Larsen and Toubro in Chennai, India. She was able to produce design outputs 50% faster than her peers, helped in analysing the compatibility of standards to drafted designs which ensured seamless project delivery and was efficient in networking across the sectors in the firm. She was unanimously acknowledged and preferred by all senior architects and colleagues, graded 10/10 for work perfection and maintaining professional and healthy work relationships.
She is a self-motivated individual who can carry out her works without regular supervision while also enthusiastic about collaborative working. She sympathizes with the needs of clients and design users, actively considers the ideas of teammates, quick in problem solving and has excellent time management skills. She looks forward to meaningful interactions out of every communication and loves to live at the moment.
