‘The Belfast Collage’ by David Wilkinson

Planned urban island development with buildings, green spaces, and bridges for accessibility.

David Wilkinson is a recent Part II Graduate from Manchester School of Architecture. Graduating with a distinction, alongside being awarded the Hays Prize for Groupwork, for work done as part of Professional Studies. Prior to his studies in Manchester David spent two years working in the high end residential sectors as a Part I architectural assistant.

Here is David’s thesis Project ‘The Belfast Collage’. This proposal explores Colin Rowe’s theory ‘Collage City’ as a theoretical driver for design at three scales; A City Framework, Masterplan Site, A Key Public Space.
